The Winchester Model 1897 was made from 1897 to 1957, with approximately 1,024,700 manufactured. This 1901 vintage Model 1897 is fitted with a numbers matching 26 inch barrel, walnut pistol grip stock with black plastic Winchester butt-plate, grooved walnut forearm, take-down configuration, is blue finished, and chambered in 12 Gauge 2 3/4 inch with a modified choke. This slide action shotgun is in good condition with a nice patina all metal parts. The stock and forearm are free from any major damage with assorted minor handling marks. The bore is frosted, but the action is tight and functions smoothly.
