Description:
With the exception of the additon of sling swivel studs this gun is corect and exactly original. It is a 1957 gun with all of the innovative and unique features that make these fine older Savage (FW) so sought after. Not only in the highly desiragle 308 Chambering (.308s were only a couple of yrs old when this fine rifle was made) but it is in the most sought after combination: featherweight with the original lever safety, steel butt plate, factory hand checkered, factory drilled and tapped for scope, cocking indicatior, brass rotary and brass cartridge counter.
It is in 90% or better cond with NO cracks or splits or damage to wood or metal, no meaningful loss of blue to receiver or significant scratches or other except for normal wear to underside of receiver from being carried. Front and rear site are in place with nice engine turned bolt showing evidence of having been shot very little
