Description:
Antique Smith & Wesson Model 3, 1st Model Russian with an original 8" barrel chambered in .44 Russian. The barrel markings are very clear and sharp. The serial number is 9841 making it an early production revolver. There are traces and flashes of original blue in several areas that don't show up well in the photos. The half cock on the hammer doesn't hold and the cylinder doesn't rotate to the lack position when the hammer is cocked. The ejector action functions properly and the bore is in very good condition. The grips fit well with the right side being numbered to a different gun and the left grip isn't numbered. The assembly number B320 appears on the latch, the back face of the cylinder and inside the grip frame, under the grips.
