Description:
This .303 Savage Model 1895 rifle has a 24” blued tapered round barrel with a good bore. The front sight is a bead; the rear sight is an elevation adjustable flip up. Both sights are after-market. There is also a fixed rear aperture sight on the tang of the receiver. The receiver has been poorly engraved on the left side. The action is smooth and locks up tight. The finish is worn in most areas. The Walnut forend and buttstock featuring the original synthetic buttplate are in good condition with the exception of a repaired penetrating hairline crack on the left side of the forend. The two cracks on the sides of the wrist have been repaired. A crest is burned into the buttstock behind the action. Length of pull is 13”, overall length is 45-1/4”, and weight is 7.6 lbs.
