Description:
Colt Police Postive Special revolver in .32 New Police (.32 S&W Long) caliber. The Police Positive was introduced in 1907 and remained in production until 1947. It was offered in .32-20 WCF, .32 New Police, .38 New Police, or .38 Special, and was offered in a 4", 5", or 6" inch barrel. The Police Positive Special model proved to be an excellent revolver for the Colt firm, reliable, accurate, and good-looking. This revolver was produced in 1919 and has seen a fair amount of use. The original blue would rate at approximately 70% with various areas of high edge wear, thinning and handling marks. The worn areas sport a nice time produced dark patina. The action locks up tight and the timing is correct. the bore is very nice with sharp visible rifling. This would make an excellent addition to a collection.
