Description:
SOLD PF *** Beautiful early pivot lever C grade weighing 7 lbs. 3 oz. with gorgeous 30" Damascus barrels, and a gold metal bead. The barrels are marked Fine Damascus, Lefever Arms Co. Makers, Syracuse, NY. The double triggers are gold plated, with an auto safety, a horn grip cap, cocking indicators and an original horn checkered butt plate. The forend has a push button release and an ebony tip. The gun was made around 1899 and is 100% functional with attractive wood figure and crisp correct checkering. The metal is excellent overall with about 10% case colors remaining and lovely scroll engraving with a pointer on the right side and a setter on the left. The book, "Uncle Dan Lefever, Master Gunmaker" says only 3000 C grades were made.
