This is a beautiful Browning A5 Light Twelve shotgun made in 1982 by Miroku of Japan. Bought new by the original owner in 1982, this Browning A5 Light Twelve was fired 1 time and put into storage until now. This semi-automatic, gas-operated shotgun features a beautiful high-polish factory gloss-blue on all of the metal parts, a gold-finished trigger, a polished bolt and shell lifter, a 28" inch ventilated rib barrel with a 2.75" inch chamber and "Modified" choke, and a checkered European Walnut pistol-grip stock set with a factory gloss finish. The factory blue finish on this shotgun rates like-new at 99%. There is no visible wear or marring anywhere on the metal parts. Finding 1% worth of deduction takes a very close and thorough examination, and even then it's hard to do. The factory gold finish on the trigger is also like-new, as-is the gold fill in the Browning "Buckmark" logo on the bottom of the triggerguard. The bore in this A5 is mirror-bright and pristine, free from any pitting, dents, bulges, or imperfections of any kind. All of the factory markings are crisp and clean, and the internals are just as pristine as the exterior. The factory stock set is in very good condition overall but suffered some safe dings from being stored in an overcrowded safe. Both the forearm and buttstock are free from any cracks, chips, repairs, or major damage, but as we mentioned both parts do show a handfull of little safe dings. As you can see from the pictures, these little imperfections do not detract much at all from the exceptionally clean look of this Browning Light Twelve. The checkered panels on both the forearm and pistol-grip are crisp and clean, free from any soiling or broken/worn edges. The buttstock is factory fitted with a Browning-branded buttplate which is in excellent condition, and the factory-applied gloss clearcoat on both the forearm and buttstock is bright and crystal clear, rating 98%. The action on this A5 is super slick and precise, just like the day it left the factory. It has not even been "broken-in" yet by any means, and all of the controls are still tight and crisp. Had the original owner not told us that he fired it one time we would not hesitate to call it unfired. If you have been looking for a classy semi-automatic shotgun that you can be proud of carrying, this Browning A5 Light Twelve would be a perfect choice. The classic lines and top-quality fit and finish of the A5 make it a shotgun that everyone admires, and the time-tested superb reliability of the A5 will make sure you are never stuck halfway thru a sporting clays course or pheasant hunt with a gun that won't work!
