Description:
This is a nice example of a "dot 44" (Waffenfabrik Brunn) coded Mauser 98k. This rifle was produced in early 1944 and is very similar to those produced in 1943.
The rifle is in all-matching condition. The stock and handguard are both numbered to the rifle and dot-coded as well. The stock is not sanded and has the Eagle/H cartouche. The trigger guard and floorplate are not numbered. Both bands are numbered to the rifle, as is the rear sight (which was only done on the early 1944-made rifles). The metal is excellent and the stock has a few gouges from use in combat.
