Excellent example of a qualaity Vias Arms rifle chambered in .280 Remington. Rare bird here as George Vias is most known for the Vias Muzzle Brake naturally fitted to the larger caliber rifles.
This beautifuly crafted Mauser rifle with action by Waffenfabrik Steyer (Model 1912?). Has 3 postition safety. There is no rust on the rifle. There are the tiniest of handling marks in the stock that does not detract at all from the firearm. Stock has single panel checkering on the pistol grip and wrap around checkering on the fore arm. Excellent bore. Jeweled bolt and follower - rifle is loaded through a hinged floorplate. Has Decelerator recoil pad
Has a 23.5" bbl with band, weights 8.6 lbs and will ship with a Leupold solid base and rings 1.0"
This is my personal rifle that I have had for quite a while. I have never fired it and it has remeined in my climate controlled safe for several years. It is time to pass it to someone who will appreciate it for what it is.
I pretend to be no expert on Mauser configuration and may stand corrected on a few things so ask and I'll do the best I can. This rifle looks much better in person that in my amaturish photographs.
And..I will trade for a NIB Freedom Arms revolver. Looking for calibers in 41 Rem Mag and .357 Mag.
