Description:
This is a very nice, all-original and matching 1st Generation Colt Bisley Model chambered in .32 WCF or .32-20 caliber with a 4.75" inch barrel.  This example is serial number 320304 making it's date of manufacture 1913.  The single action Colt Bisley was designed with the target shooter in mind and featured a longer and more curved forward grip strap and a smaller raked back hammer.  The Bisley name came from Bisley England where the International Shooting Matches were held during the late 19th and early 20th century.  It was introduced in 1896 and built until 1915.  This Bisley is in good condition both inside and out.  The grip frame, trigger, cylinder, and barrel all show nice patches of the original factory gloss blue, with the balance showing a grey-blue patina.  The case colored frame and hammer also still show some nice bright color, particularly in the protected areas.  The bore in this Colt is very good, showing nice, strong rifling throughout the barrel with no major imperfections or pitting.  All 6 chambers of the cylinder are likewise clean and in great shape.  The original factory checkered hard rubber grips are in very good shape, free from any cracks, chips, repairs, or major dings/damage.  Both grip panels are perfectly fit to the gun, and both sides are tight with no wiggle.  The action on this Colt Bisley is smooth and perfectly "in time" whether it is worked fast or slow.  All four clicks are nice and loud when the hammer is cocked, and all 3 hammer positions are still intact.  This Bisley should shoot and function just as well today as the day it left the Colt factory over 100 years ago. If you have been looking for a Bisley you can enjoy at the range and as an investment, this all-original and handsome 1913 example would be a great choice.
