This handsome un-molested M1 Garand was built in late 1945. It is an excellent example of what many have called the best battle rifle of all-time. The original factory Parkerizing is in excellent condition, the bore is bright and clean and the original stock set is beautiful with fully-legible U.S. Military Inspector's cartouches in all of the correct locations. All of the factory markings are crisp and clear, including the factory original 1945-dated barrel. The throat on this Garand gauges a "3+" and the muzzle gauges a "1+", indicating that the barrel is like-new for all intents and purposes. The action is nice and tight but still slick and smooth when worked by hand, and all of the controls on this Garand are in perfect working order, including the original lock-bar adjustable rear sight.
