Iver Johnson's Arms & Cycle Works was an American firearms, bicycle, and motorcycle manufacturer from 1891 to 1993. One of the most famous models produced by the firm were the Top Break Safety Automatics, both in hammer and hammerless variations. The term "Safety Automatic" refers to Iver Johnson's patented "Hammer-the-Hammer" transfer bar safety system and the automatic ejection of cartridges upon breaking open the revolvers. This revolver is one of the early third variation Safety Automatic Hammer models and is in excellent condition and appears unfired. The original finish rates 95+% with a small bit of plating missing from the muzzle. The action works perfectly and the revolver locks up tightly, a rarity in these vintage revolvers. The bore and chambers are flawless. The top break feature works as if the revolver was produced yesterday not nearly 100+ years ago. If your in the market for a classic, vintage Top Break revolver.
