Description:
Famous predecessor to the incomparable Pre War Winchester Model 70, here is an extraordinary example of the somewhat scarce Winchester Model 54 Carbine in 30-06. This is the best one I have had (or even seen). Most of these carbines were utility guns that were used hard and put away wet, so to find one in this outstanding original condition is quite unusual. S/N 32259A with matching scribed bolt made in 1931. Overall condition is about 97% with the bottom metal and buttplate typically showing more wear, but still exceptional for this model which was always prone to rapid blue loss in these areas. The barrel is 20" with a minty bore and all mechanical functions are like new.
