Description:
Developed from the earlier Volcanic, the Henry rifle was designed and developed around the new .44 rimfire cartridge by B. Tyler Henry.  It was the first metallic cartridge repeating rifle, and is considered by many to be the first Winchester rifle.  This example, serial number 5210, was manufactured around 1862, early in the Civil War, and as many did, could have well seen service, although it was not a US government purchase.  It is in very good, original condition, and appears to be untouched, except for normal use.  The bore is excellent and it has an original four piece metallic cleaning rod and sling swivels.  It also has a period tang sight which is fully functional.  The brass has not been polished.  This really is a good, honest Henry rifle.                                                     PRICE:    $19,500              We are Antique & Modern Firearms in Lexington, KY, dealer of fine firearms since 1974.                    PH. 859-276-1419         We Buy, Sell and Trade Firearms & Knives.    Have a Individual FirearmFirearms Collection, or Firearms Estate to sell, let us know, we can buy or consignment sell it for you.                   NOTE:  No additional fee for a Credit Card payment.
