Payment Types Accepted: Visa,Master Card, Discover,Check Description: This is a very nice all-original and all-matching except for the unnumbered stock, WW2 German K98 rifle made by the J.P. Sauer & Sohn firm in 1944. Sauer was assigned the German military code "ce" from 1941 until the end of the war. This code system was designed to hide the origins of any captured weapons from the Allies and prevent the bombing of plants producing military weaponry. This particular rifle is serial number 8645n and was most certainly brought home to the States as some veteran's "war trophy". It is NOT an import-marked rifle and metal remains in all-original condition, just as the day it left the factory in 1944. As mentioned earlier this K98 is all-matching with original stamped serial numbers except for the stock, which is an un-numbered original WW2 stock set. The rifle is in excellent condition overall with all original factory finishes intact. This is a beautiful example of the famous German K98, long considered the best bolt-action battle rifle ever made. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Rifle Caliber: 8x57mm J, 8x57mm JS Manufacturer: J.P.
