Mint condition Pre 64 Winchester Model 70 in scarce .257 Roberts caliber. S/N 86*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1948. 99%+ Blue and Varnish. Barrel is 24" with minty bore. Mechanical function is smooth and proper in all regards. In addition to its scarcity of caliber, this is also a transition style rifle with the Pre War type cloverleaf tang and the unique "clamshell" or "rabbit's foot" safety lever, a combination of features limited almost exclusively to a short period of production between 1946-1948.
