In 2014, as a result of Caesar Guerini's ongoing pursuit to make the most durable Target shotgun possible, they created the Invictus system. This design ushered in the most significant advancement in over-under durability in many years. All of the technology in the Invictus V Ascent is complimented by the graceful side plate action with full-coverage engraving. This embellishment employs no fewer than four different engraving techniques, including many hours of hand engraving. The result is a stunning example of contemporary Italian Ornato style engraving with deep relief game scenes. The Invictus V is quite simply the perfect synthesis of technology and art.
This Ascent model features a 10mm high fixed rib and Monte Carlo stock that allows the shooter to utilize a more upright shooting posture while still retaining the instinctive pointing qualities of a flat-rib sporting clays gun. The result is an modern sporting gun that accommodates both pre-mounted and gun-down shooting styles while remaining very comfortable to shoot.
This gun features the greatest advancement in over-under durability in many years-the Invictus System. This revolutionary new system completely changes the way the barrel and action lock together when the gun is closed, making the whole system stronger. Additionally, all locking surfaces are now modular, creating a gun that is many times more durable than a traditional over-and-under shotguns. For the first time you can measure the life span of your shotgun not by how long you can shoot it, but how long your children and grandchildren can.
The average weight of this gun is 8lbs. 9 oz. and the receiver finish is hand polished coin finish with Invisalloy protective finish. The stock is a beautiful piece of Turkish Walnut with a hand rubbed oil finish. It has a 2 3/4 chamber, with 26 lines per checkered inch. It comes with 6 Maxis competition chokes, a hard case with fit interior and velevet stock and barrel sleeve, stock and trigger wrenches are also included.
