The screws, ejector head and base pin are finished in Fire Blue. John Adams started working for Harrington and Richardson and then engraved for Colt for years. He has engraved for many celebrities. His work is magnificent and is highly prized. This Colt is unfired, unturned. The original box, lock and paperwork are included. To make this Colt more interesting, it is built on a black powder frame. A diagonal screw retains the base pin, an early bullseye ejector handle pushes out the empties and the early three line patent dates are on the frame.  Overall, this is the kind of heirloom Colt that can top a collection and will only increase in value.  This gun , if engraved in the factory by this same engraver,  would be over $7000.00 for just the engraving. Adams used to do this engraving in the factory.  This one ,I believe, he did at home.  It is Mint condition, NIB  AND PRICED AT. 4995.00 , Couple bonuses ,the gun and the fire blueing .         Contrary to my photos, this Colt is real silver plated and shines brighter than Nickel. I'm sorry that it appears almost Gold, I took dozens of pics but my camera and lighting  just couldn't get the silver.  There is absolutely NO tarnish or loss of bright silver color.
