EARLY WW2 SPRINGFIELD U.S. M-1 OR M1 GARAND .30-06 RIFLE RECEIVER. CIRCA MAR. 1943. Serial number "1,445,XXX" with "U.S. Rifle/Cal. .30 M1/ Springfield Armory" address. Stripped of all it's parts but with exceptional barrel threads and knurling for battle sight. All other edges un-filed and excellent. Never been cleaned so original parkerized finish and crisp address. No weld marks either so NOT a refurb dewat. Receiver leg marking with "8 0 2 7" and a diamond and under that "D 28291-17". No dings or battle damage but some pitting to undersides where wood would normally be touching it so ready to have an early WW2 complete rifle built around it. Has cosmoline grease in recesses from storage so NOT rust(see photos).
