Description:
Offered is a Colt 1860 Army Mfg. in 1863. Incredible original, sharp, crisp condition. 75% Original Finish overall on barrel with 100% in protected areas including the entire lower half of the barrel under and above loading lever. All matching numbers except mismatched wedge. Strong traces of case color. 100% deep cylinder scene. Mechanically as new in both full and half cocked position (the strongest I have ever seen). Mint Perfect cartouched grips (numbered to gun). Original Buff Feathering around sight, loading lever catch and barrel transition. Brass uncleaned mustard patina.100% original screws in perfect condition. All markings as deep and clear as a "proof" coin. The finish on the top of barrel has slightly thinned to 40-60% with the protected areas 100%. No signs of cleaning, pitting or rust. No battering. This is very close to a $12,000+ Colt. Near to the best I have ever seen. Insured shipping will be a flat $95.
