Rare Jos Zeller German Drilling, 1890s vintage with 2 - 16 ga barrels above a 9.3x72 mm rifle barrel. Paderborn barrels 27” long. This piece has been in my family since WWII and never been fired during that time.
Beautifully detailed engraving. Even the ends of the screws are engraved on both ends.
The 16 ga cylinder bores are bright with some pitting (see attached pictures). The left choke measures .639” and right choke measures .658”. The rifle barrel appears to have sharp lands with some leading (difficult picture to capture).
The rifle barrel is engaged by moving the actuator on the back-strap forward. It raises the rear rifle sight blade and engages the right hammer to actuate the firing pin.
Spring loaded insert holds 4 rifle rounds.
