Description:
This is a good Smith & Wesson Model 1 3rd Production Tip Up Revolver in .22 Short Rimfire Black Powder. The blued barrel and frame are good, with the barrel missing finish in several places, and handling marks from being over 100 years old. The blued 3 and 3/16" barrel is very good with sharp crisp rifling in its bore. The dark walnut hand grips are very good. The trigger is firm and crisp on release. This Smith & Wesson Number 1 is a collector, not a shooter, as the .22 short rimfire ammo has not been made for years. The revolver is fully operational and would probably fire if there was available ammo. The Smith & Wesson #1 comes with a factory letter the previous owner obtained from Smith & Wesson, verifying its origin and description. No box or other accessories. .22 Short
