Description:
Serial #22720T, .380 Cal., 4 1/2" octagon barrel with a very good bore that has mild freckling and pitting. This is a handsome, retailer-marked revolver: “GRIFFITHS & WORSLEY, MANCHESTER" along the topstrap; that has retained 80-85% of the original bright blue finish with scattered patches of mild freckling and silvering along the high edges and projections. The captive loading lever, hammer, trigger guard, and cylinder have a mottled, pewter gray patina with evenly spread areas of mild pinprick pitting throughout. The pivoting safety lock on the right side of the frame retains about 50% of the original bright fire blue. The checkered English walnut grip has light wear and flattening of the points, as well as some handling marks at the top and butt end of the grip. The revolver is fully functional, and has firm lock-up. This is a fine-near excellent 4th Model Tranter, and would make a nice addition to a collection. Antique
