Description:
Colt Single Action Army made in 1926. 38 Special caliber. 5 1/2 inch barrel.
Originally a 45 caliber with 7 1/2 inch barrel, sold to Coos Bay Lumber Company, in Marshfield Oregon, shipped to Baker Hamilton Pacific Co., San Francisco 4-20-1927 (per Colt's Factory letter)
According to previous owner, the gun was damaged in a fire, and sent to Colt to be refurbished, and was converted to 38 Special. I do not have any documented proof of this, so I'm not going to argue whether it is fact or not.
Please see pictures. Note the red spot on the bottom of ejector housing, looks to be some sort of oxidation. Also note dents in right side of ejector rod housing, as clearly pictured.
Bore is perfect, and gun is overall in excellent condition. Very heavy mainspring.
