Goens - 280 Remington Classic Custom Stocked Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Made by Goens, The M-70 action was made in 1951, 23" barrel without any open sights, 2 piece scope bases with lever release 30mm rings, Mounted with a Schmidt & Bender 3 - 12 x 50 super quality scope with a duplex reticle with their heavy bars at 3 - 6 & 9 o'clock, Pre-64 Model 70 bottom metal, Model 70 trigger, Four panel teardrop bolt knob checkering, Jeweled bolt, rail and follower, Goens classic stock on a decent piece of English Walnut, Classic Goens wrap around fleur-de-lis checkering, Shadowline cheekpiece, Ebony forend tip, Sling eyes on the stock, Steel grip cap, 13 3/4" LOP over a 1/2" pad & will go 14 5/16" with a 1" pad added, 8 lbs. 14 oz., The original Goens satin blue remains at 99%, The original stock finish at 98%, The checkering is at 100%, The bore is excellent plus. This is a very good value with one of the world's best scope.
