Born in Spittal, Austria in 1836, Gasser’s father was a gunsmith. Leopold Gasser started his own career in 1858 in a small gun manufacturing shop in Vienna-Ottakring, owned by Josef Scheinigg. After marrying Scheiningg's daughter, Gasser took over running the company. Soon his mastery of revolver design became evident, and he started manufacturing metallic cartridge revolvers for the Austro-Hungarian Army from 1870. The action functions although the trigger spring is weak and the cylinder does not index in single action. The faded marking “2720 Gasser” is stamped on the left frame. The bone grips are firmly seated. This example is just as unique, as it is interesting! Add it to the collection today! Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 4-3/4 inches. Caliber: .52 Percussion Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail!
