The perfect collectible shooter grade!...Here's a great Pre War Winchester 70 in the king of all calibers, the venerable 30-06. S/N 30*** with matching bolt made in 1940. Despite some expected wear from 80 years of careful use, this rifle remains in 100% original condition and presents very well in hand. The overall finishes rate 90-95% with some strong but lightly oxidized barrel blue and wear to forward portion of floorplate. The wood shows some expected handling marks but no cracks, deep scrapes, or gouges. All mechanical functions are working properly and as smooth as silk. The 24" Barrel has a minty, mirror bright bore. The rear bridge remains undrilled and all factory components are present and correct. Overall, a rifle to be proud of that can still be taken out and enjoyed the way it was intended to be.
