Description:
Italian Weatherby XXII Semi-Automatic Rifle built by Beretta between 1962 and 1967. 24” polished blued barrel, black factory grooved alloy receiver, one piece pistol grip gloss walnut stock with Monte Carlo comb, cheek piece, skip-line checkering, checkered steel butplate, sling swivels, dovetailed brass beaded front sight, folding leaf rear sight, factory jeweled bolt, 10 round box type detachable magazine and brown nylon sling (gun case not included). Approximately 99% original finish remains and metal surfaces rate as excellent overall. Wood rates very good+, with a 1.5” scratch to bottom of forend. Otherwise showing normal light handling marks with a little bit of edge wear at the cheekpiece, checkering is unmarred. Action is smooth with an excellent bore. There is a lever at the right rear of the action that switches function from semiauto to single shot. This is an early Weatherby XXII prized for it’s fit, finish and accuracy.
