Flintlock English Spring Bayonet Pocket Pistol. Bielby, London (Marked on the frame). Barrel length 3 ½” and overall length 7”. Pistol has Birmingham proof marks. Spring Bayonet works by pulling the rear of the trigger guard thus releasing the Bayonet or Dagger. The blade Locks into position perfectly. Depressing the button on the right side of the Dagger releases the dagger which folds into a slot in the front of the trigger guard. Very popular self-defense combination pistol circa 1800.
