Description:
Serial #ZJ6693, .38/200 British, 5 inch barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This 1945 dated, double-action only revolver has matching numbers on the frame, cylinder, and barrel with the metal retaining about 50-60% of the wartime matte blue finish, and a mottled plum-brown patina on the balance. There is some further silvering at the muzzle, as well as along the high edges and projections. The grooved Bakelite grips are in fine shape with some minor handling marks and small chips on both panels. The brass disk has been etched with a decorative rose motif at some point, and the lock-up is tight, and the mechanism fully functional. This is one of the last batch of Enfield .38 revolvers, as the highest known serial is in the ZJ7xxx range. This example is in very good plus condition overall. FFL or C&R
