Description:
Serial #127176, .455 Webley, 7 1/2 inch barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a handsome, matching number revolver that retains 85-90% of the original blue finish, with silvering along the raised edges and projections, as well as areas of mild surface freckling, mainly along the barrel. The topstrap is marked “'WS' TARGET MODEL" on the left side, “P. WEBLEY & SON LONDON & BIRMINGHAM" on the barrel rib, with the Webley & Scott “Winged Bullet" and “football" trademark on the left side of the frame. The cylinder has crisp proof stamps, and the barrel assembly has the fairly rare lightening cuts below the barrel on both sides. The checkered walnut grips are in about very good condition with numerous handling marks, surface blemishes, moderate flattening of the points, and a small chip missing from the toe on the left side. The lock-up is solid and tight and the action functions flawlessly. This is a very nice WS Target revolver, and rates very good plus condition overall. FFL or C&R
