This grouping all came from the family of Conrad Lorie 2nd West Virginia Cavalry Vol. the Colt 1860 model made in 1863 is in excellent shape. Very tight, everything works correctly. You can still see some of the scene on the cylinder and read the complete Colt address on the top of the barrel. It is engraved " CONRAD LORIE CO. C 2nd REG CAV. VOLS WEST VIRGINIA ". The sword is an Ames 1863 Cav. Sabor also barely visible on the guard is CONRAD LORIE. There are a couple of nicks in the blade but leather and wire wrap are beautiful!! The holster is a JI Pittman. It's starting to split, "very fragile" there is also a belt, with keeper, (no buckle). And last but not least a West Virginia Honorable Discharge Medal, named to Conrad Lorie. he enlisted, 11-1-1861, mustered out 11-1864. he was present and fought in several battles. His brother was wounded at the 3rd Battle of Winchester. this is a fantastic, grouping Pistol, holster, sword, belt and medal. With history!!!
