Description:
Serial #97894, .22 S-L-LR, 23 3/4 inch barrel with a very good bore that has freckling within the grooves. This is a handsome rifle that has retained 85-90% of the original blue finish with some minor silvering on the edges and bearing surfaces, as well as fading to mellow plum-brown on the balance. The front and rear dovetails are vacant, but scope blocks are fitted with an unmarked A5-type scope with rubber eye-cup, intact crosshair reticle, and slightly cloudy optics installed. The walnut forend and buttstock are in very good-fine shape with only minor handling marks and surface blemishes marring the original varnish. This is a great looking example of a nice .22 Remington, and rates very good-fine overall. FFL or C&R
