Description:
Serial #26644, 7.63mm (.30 Mauser), 5 1/2 inch barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some mild freckling within the grooves. This is a splendid pistol that has all matching numbers and retains 95-97% of the original factory blue that has silvered slightly at the muzzle, along a few of the projecting edges and surfaces and has a handful of minor handling marks and small surface blemishes here and there; most noticeably scratches on the right rear of the frame just below the hammer. The bolt and large ring hammer have retained their original dull gray finish with some darker specks of freckling along the edges and projections. The safety, rear sight slider, and extractor retain about 85-90% of the original bright fire blue with the balance turned bright. The trigger has about 50-60% of the original straw color remaining with the balance turned to a dark, pewter gray patina. The 23 groove walnut grips are numbered to the gun on the interior and are likewise in excellent shape with only some minor handling marks and surface blemishes marring the otherwise excellent original varnish finish. The action is tight and the pistol is fully functional. This is an exceptional example of a rare, commercial flatside Broomhandle that retains an exceptionally high degree of original finish and would make a superb addition to any collection. FFL or C&R
