The hunting season is upon us and you want a Parker to add to your collection of fine shotguns for hunting and sporting clays events, but which one to choose?  There are LOTS of Parker guns for sale, but most have issues of one sort or another, and some of the issues are serious.  Many have barrels that have badly pitted bores, are loose on the hinge pin and rattle on the action’s breech face, and worst of all, thin barrel walls that make shooting dangerous.  Others have broken stocks that have been repaired or replaced and done poorly.  For those that want a Parker that is solid as a rock, mechanically excellent in every way, with all original parts, and a solid GUARANTEE FROM THE SELLER REGARDING THE GUN’S CONDITION, we offer you this Parker PH Grade 16ga., sn91126, built in 1899.  THIS GUN IS BUILT ON THE COVETED “O” FRAME RESERVED FOR THE 20 GAUGE PARKER, MAKING IT A DELIGHTFULLY LIGHTWEIGHT 16 GAUGE BIRD GUN!  This gun is a factory original gun in every way, showing loving care over the 121 years of its existence.  The 26” Parker Twist Steel barrels retain 95% of their original pattern, with excellent shiny bores, factory bore diameter of .667 both barrels, minimum barrel wall thickness of 24 thousandths anywhere, tight ribs, and barrels still tight on the hinge pin and breech face like a new gun.  You can see the specifications of this gun below regarding stock dimensions and other details. The wood is original to the gun, has no cracks or repairs, beautifully figured and retains most of its finish, with good shooting dimensions and terminating in the original Parker Dog’s head Butt Plate.  This is a VFI CERTIFIED GUN with a 90-day mechanical warranty, having been completely stripped to its smallest part, all parts Ultrasonic cleaned and scrubbed, all inspected for function and integrity, lubricated and reassembled.  The screws are excellent and properly “clocked” or timed, and the action has a pleasing grey/silver patina to it with about 20% faded case color remaining.  This gun is solid and ready to shoot for another 121 years with proper care.  The PH Grade had a judicious amount of nicely cut scroll engraving on the action and trigger guard and the engraving remains clear, sharp, and quite eloquent in its execution.  The PH Grade Parker had finer wood than their VH Grade yet remained affordable.  THEY ONLY MADE A TOTAL OF 1296 PH GRADE PARKERS IN 16GA. AND ONLY 152 WITH 26” BARRELS.  ONLY A SMALL HANDFUL WERE BUILT ON THE “O” FRAME THE PARKER GUYS WANT SO BADLY.  THIS IS A VERY NICE PARKER!  She weighs just 6lbs. and feels even lighter.  The chokes are set up as a LM/F and she is the perfect upland gun.  If you are a smaller statured person (or know somebody that is) this is the gun for you.  Isn’t it nice to know that you can buy this gun and not have any “fixing up” to do when you get it?  She is a pretty little side x side as well.  Thanks for looking!
