Description:
The United States Rifle, Caliber .30-06, Model 1903, is an american made five-round magazine fed, bolt-action service repeating rifle,

Remington Model 1903 SN 3273458. The year of manufacture for serial number 3273458 is 1942. The receiver has an additional gas port ("Hatcher Hole" - dubbed after army ordnance officer MG Julian Hatcher, the US Marines decided this procedure was to be done on all their 1903 rifles on the left side of the receiver). Note - there were some US Army issued rifles that also are said to have the Hatcher Hole.

Barrel is dated 10-42 with Flaming Bomb with one punch mark near front sight. Muzzle measures less than 1 on the bore guage which is very good. Greenish yellowish colored original parkerized finish. R in three places on bolt and additionally on front barrel band. One punch mark below R on bolt all indicating possible US Marine Corps issue. P stamped in end of forestock.

RA-P inspection proof mark on left side of stock above trigger. 

Flaming Bomb stamped on left side of front sight guard.

Bore is immaculate with no pits or rust. Rifle stock in great shape with no dings or cracks. No rust or corrosion on metal. Appears to have been an Arms Room Queen.

Fully functional and shootable.  Inspected by certified professional Quality Engineer.

C&R shippable.
