Description:
The section of rib nearest to the receiver was removed to make room for the scope with a somewhat larger front objective lens and is missing as are the open sights. Ribs are sometimes found available for sale should someone wish to replace it or it may simply be removed.New alum or steel after market ribs are offered from various sources. The blue is gennerally excellent except for a spot approx 1 1/2" forward of the end of the forened where it appears the previous owner attempted to clean up some pitting ...this could clean up pretty nicely but not be perfect wth a little elbow grease and cold blue. Stock is good but shows evidence of its approx 55 yrs of age; a pad was added, LOP is 13 1/4 approx and would make a nice gun for a young shooter.
The scope is a Bushnell Banner 3 x 9 with a post and cross hair is actually a pretty nice scope esp with the post ch.. The plastic (factory) floor plate/trigger guard is not warped (most were) and fits nicely flush with the stock.
