This nice revolver has matching numbers on the frame, cylinder, yoke, extractor, and barrel with the metal retaining 90-95% of the original brush blued finish that has faded at the muzzle and along the projecting edges and surfaces. There is a noticeable turn-ring on the cylinder and the trigger and hammer have about 60-70% of the original bright color case-hardening remaining with freckled gray fading on the balance. The revolver has a US Ordnance “Flaming Bomb" on the butt with a deeply struck “C (Broad Arrow)" Canadian property stamp just behind, as well as on the left side of the frame at the knuckle just behind the hammer. The smooth walnut grips are numbered on the interior: “94347"; and have light-moderate wear and handling marks on either side, with some short, with-the-grain cracks at the top of the right panel. The grip screw is an incorrect replacement. The lock-up is still tight and the mechanism functions flawlessly. This is a great Canadian .38 hand ejector in fine-near excellent condition, and would make a fantastic addition to any collection.
