WINCHESTER MODEL 1866 YELLOW BOY SRC CARBINE
Winchester model 1866 .44 "Yellow Boy" lever-action saddle ring carbine. Wholesale competitive price for this gun in this condition. Walnut stock with crescent buttplate, blued barrel and brass frame receiver. Third Model Kings Improvement barrel address barely visible. Serial number 23116 stamped on lower tang (lowest number observed to date on a Third Model - see Flayderman Winchester Third Model).

Low Serial Number: 23116 (Manufactured in 1869).
Very good condition. Very good bore, with good rifling and some oxidation marks. Smooth gray/brown patina on barrel and magazine tube. Previously polished receiver shows normal handling marks (see photos). Very good stock, beautiful wood, small chip at rear bottom at buttstock, Forestock has a small sliver-chip at rear near receiver on right side. Very minor scratches and small dents consistent with use, all visible in photos. Mechanically excellent.
This is "the Gun That Won the West". Most 1866 Winchesters saw heavy use in rugid environments and have heavy wear, repairs, and replacement parts. This is a fine example of a well-cared-for Winchester 1866 needing no repairs and no replacement parts.
