Description:
A very clean Winchester Model 42 with fixed full choke in 26 inch barrel with ventilated rib have a White Bradley front sight and a white mid-rib bead. The chamber accepts two and one-half inch shells as well as three inch shells. Wood and bluing are exquisite. The bolt and shell carrier are jeweled. The grip cap and butt plate are both Wichester and made of metal and hard plastic respectively. The serial number which is deep, sharp and distinct indicates the year of manufacture is 1947. The drop at comb is 1.75 inches and the drop at heel of Monte Carlo stock is 2,5 inches. The cast is neutral. This shotgun is a piece of Winchester American history and is a real eye catcher on the skeet field, quail hunting, or sporting clays events. This Model 42 weighs 6 pounds and 12 ounces. The bluing, wood, mechanical operation, and wood to metal fits are all excellent. The butt stock is American walnut in a 100% crotch with feathering.
