Spencer model 1860 .52 caliber lever-action saddle ring carbine. 22" barrel, Early three line barrel address,
"SPENCER REPEATING

The barrel address is easily legible but fades toward the end of each line. Early Serial Number 52919.
This Amazing, One-of-a-Kind Carbine features floral-engraved walnut stock, intricately detailed on all parts, left and right and top of stock, left and right and bottom of forestock. Pure Cowboy, Western folk-art, engraved on a Civil War issued saddle ring carbine. No doubt after the war this carbine made its way out west, no doubt in the hands of an artistic Civil War Cavalry veteran Cowboy. A true treasure of the Old West, a collection centerpiece with character. This is one-of-a-kind. There is no other like this.
Very good condition. Bright bore with good rifling from end-to-end, some moderate oxidation, Metal surfaces are smooth and free of rust, no pitting, show a mottled brown/gray patina, with some surface oxidation marks. Stock shows use and handling. Action functions properly. Mechanically very good.
