Description:
Excellent factory engraved Forehand & Wadsworth sidehammer revolver in .22 rimfire. Made in the 1870's, this is 1 of an estimated production of 1000. This one is minty with nearly all of the factory nickel and virtually perfect, nicely figured, wood stocks. The barrel is 2 1/4" octagon with a good bore. The markings are clear and sharp. The action works perfectly with good timing and lock up. The engraving is sharp and well executed. It would be difficult to find a better example than this one.
