"Very Rare Factory Engraved Remington 1st Model Derringer. Beautiful Factory Engraved 1st Model Remington Over/Under Derringer. This is a fantastic gun in very fine condition. The barrels retain 95% of the original nickel finish. The frame was cleaned long ago and only has trace amount of finish in protected areas. Engraving is nice and sharp and gun does not show any wear. Hinge is intact. Screws still retain original blue. Both barrel and frame match. Bores have strong rifling, but a little bit of pitting. The 1st model guns did not have an extractor. This is an extremely rare gun just being a first model in nice shape, but a factory engraved first model is virtually unheard of. Gun comes with a period flap holster. One of the very best Derringers we have owned.
