Rowland Watson - Birmington England - SXS Combo 12 GA WCase, Barrels #1 - 30" "2 3/4" cases" (stamped) Nitro Proof 1 1/4oz, smooth concave rib with twin Ivory beads, choked FULL .036/Full .038, Barrels #2 - 24 1/8" (possibly cut down from 26") 2 1/2" chamber, Nitro Proof 1 1/4oz, smooth concave rib with twin Ivory beads, choked CYL .002/IMPCYL .007 (barrel #2 is a factory barrel not serialized with the gun and was added later around 1921), European walnut round pistol grip stock with drop points, 22 LPI diamond cut checkering, gold oval plate engraved "R.F. de G", orange silvers pad, splinter forend with side cheeks, 22 LPI flat-cut checkering, and Anson push release. 14 3/16" LOP, 2 3/8" DAH. Metal: Barrels have mirror bores, 95%-98% blue, trigger guard 30% blue, trigger plate 90% blue, action 30%-40% case color, forend metal 0% case color, very good sharp engraving with nice screw slots. Wood: Butt stock - forend 99% finish of oil top coat (reapplied oil with no sanding or stain), checkering is sharp, and stocks have light handling marks. Serial# 8497 (CIRCA 1914) Includes original maker leather trunk case which was later modified for the additional barrel set.
