Description:
L.C.Smith 16 gauge O grade ejector. Built in 1909,this gun has 26" damascus barrels choked cylinder (.000") and improved cylinder (.005"). The bores are mint and free of any rust or dents. The barrels lock up tightly to the action with no play and the top lever is still to the right of center. The barrels touch at the muzzle so they are original. The chambers have been lengthened to 23/4" but the wall thickness in front of the chambers is over .060". The bore diameters are .666" and .667". The action still retains around 40% of the original case colors and the barrels retain 90% of the damascus pattern. The wood is sound with no cracks or damage other than a few normal handling marks. All screws are still timed and are sharp and clean and all numbers are matching. This is a neat little Smith in remarkable condition for 111 years old. This would make a great little gun for preserve shooting or a wicked grouse/woodcock gun. Early ejector guns like this are rare. C&R eliglble.
