Here we present an antique Colt New Line .22 Revolver First Model, made in 1877 in Hartford, Connecticut. The New Line was a single action pocket revolver introduced by the Colt’s Patent Fire Arms Manufacturing Company in 1873 and continued through 1877. Two years after the Colt House Revolver, a year after the Colt Open Top, and almost simultaneously alongside the Colt Peacemaker, the Colt New Line was one of the first metallic cartridge, rear-loading revolvers manufactured by Colt. It was designed to be a handy pocket-carry revolver, chambered in .22 rimfire, which was very popular for self-defense in these days. The revolver features 7 shots of .22 rimfire. Of all the Colt “New Line” revolvers made, the .22 caliber was the only one featuring a 7 shot cylinder. All other calibers utilized a 5-shot cylinder. Patent dates are on the bottom of the barrel. The overall condition is very good. The action is strong. The original nickel finish remains bright with some brass showing through on the corners. The head of the trigger screw is broken, though this is only aesthetic and does not affect the mechanics of the revolver. Both rosewood grips are firm with expected handling wear. All markings are clear and the number match! The bore is bright with nice rifling. A very nice little 7-shot .22 from Colt! Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 2-1/4 inches. Caliber: .22 Rimfire Short Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail!
