Description:
****SOLD*** Winchester Model 1897 12ga pump action shotgun, manufactured in 1917. This shotgun features the iconic 1897 pump action mechanism, Winchester's first shotgun design meant to accept smokeless powder. The shotgun has a smooth walnut stock with a grooved forend, and remnants of the original blue finish can be seen in some areas. The shotgun is in great working order, with a solid and tight action, a fully functional trigger mechanism, and a nice bore as well. Most of the original finish has been worn off, and some spots of minor corrosion and removed finish rust can be seen in the photos. Please refer to the photos prior to purchase. A wonderful old shotgun, still kicking after 103 years! It would make for a great field gun, or perhaps a nice restoration project. 14" LOP, full choke.
