Payment Types Accepted: Postal Money Order Description: This is a real nice Marlin model 1893, with the less encountered take down feature, chambered in 30-30 cal.. The butt stock had been trimmed back when I purchased it, so I had a gunsmith build a custom butt plate, which turned out fantastic. The L.O.P. still measures right at 13", so it might work out for someone with slightly shorter arms, but still feels right to me, at 6' tall. The butt stock had also been repaired at the wrist with a dowel some time ago. The T/D feature works great, and she disassembles & reassembles as it should. The bore in the 26" full octagon barrel shows strong ballard rifling and would rate 8 out of 10, with very minor corrosion. The screw heads look good, and action works real nice. All the script, and S/N are crisp and clear. This rifle dates to around 1901, and looks to have been well cared for over the years. The rear sight is not original, but is a close reproduction buckhorn, with the front blade being original. I prefer payment by Postal Money Order unless otherwise agreed.
