C. 1850's to 1870's, Silver Mounted California Bowie Knife with finger grooved marine ivory grip in the classic gold rush style. The knife measures 10-3/4" overall with a 6" blade. Knife is not marked but has the grace, class and character of the Barbary Coast/San Francisco knives made by M. Price and Will & Finck. The original leather scabbard is silver mounted with California style carving and a unique belt clip ( a design I've never seen before) which could be hung upside-down inside a coat or worn on a belt.
Bottom images show the knife with a Nimschik engraved Colt SAA which I also have listed on G.I. They go together very well and I'd sell both the Colt and knife for $8,500
