Description:
"Armes Artisinales de Grand Luxe, Liege" is the name on the barrels.  Rocco Capece, renowned master engraver, is the signature on the trigger guard.  The gun is a work of art!  It is a light weight (6 pounds exactly) 20 gauge side by side, seven pin sidelock ejector of the highest quality. I understand that Rocco Capece organized the custom production of just a few of these guns using the very best craftsmen of Liege (some from Francotte I understand) to build the guns for him to engrave and sell under this name.  I have no clue how many of these guns were built and I am the second owner of this one.

When I acquired it I I had the barrel blue properly (cold rust blue) refreshed by Kirk Merrimgton who sent it to Briley for a set of five long thin wall choke tubes.  I then sent it with a fine vintage English leather gun case to Michael Messina for a custom fitting and custom accessories by Michael Marsh of England (ebony handle turn screws, cleaning rod, snap caps, etc).  To display it I had a custom table height Chippendale stand made to fit the case.  All of these go with the sale of the gun.

The gun has 28 inch (70 cm) chopper lump barrels with Briey cokes, single trigger, ejectors, bushed firing pins, straight English stock with splinter fore end.  Full coverage  bank note or Bulino style game scenes and dog engraving with gold inlays, oak leaf carved fences, beautiful 4X Turkish walnut with exquisite checkering and borders and checkered butt must be seen to be appreciated.  The stock is 14-1/2 inches from the single trigger to the center of the butt.

I have never seen a more beautiful gun and I have owned a few!  And it shoots as well as it looks and I have hunted with it but never abused it.  Its condition remains excellent and shows almost like new. Check the pictures closely and I will gladly answer any questions by email or by cell phone at 410-924-8484. My asking price is far under replacement cost, if it could be replaced at all, and reasonable offers will be considered.  And I would welcome any information you might have and want to share about these fine and rare best guns.

Watch my listings for more fine double guns as I sell off my long time collection.
